Privacy-first by design
From identity checks to sign-in, every step favors minimal, irreversible data.
Identity stored as hashes
Beyond the name, ID numbers and IPs are kept only as salted SHA-256 hashes — never plaintext.
Passkey sign-in
Admins sign in with Face ID, Touch ID or a security key; passwords are salted with argon2id, never stored in clear.
Server-side portal queries
Every check against the UNNC admission portal runs on the server — a freshman's credentials never reach the browser.
Minimal data
Region is inferred from browser language with no GeoIP tracking, and raw event logs are pruned after 90 days.
